Procurement Advisory Services
Introduction
The existing fleet of buses with the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) is not enough to cater to the huge passenger load of the city. In order to augment its fleet and improve the overall comfort level of passengers, DTC decided to ramp up its bus fleet with induction of 4800 buses which include 3125 low-floor CNG buses (1875 non-AC & 1000 AC).
DIMTS Role
DIMTS provided procurement advisory services in bid process management which includes preparation of technical specifications and inspection plan for this purpose.
Current Status
Tenders for the buses have been received and the purchase orders for procurement of 3125 low floor CNG buses have already been placed and are currently under execution. Simultaneously, tenders for purchase of 1000 semi-low floor buses have also been received and scrutinized. The final bid evaluation report is under consideration with Govt. of Delhi.
Other Merits
DIMTS has also provided advisory services to United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) for the evaluation of technical bids for procurement of Blood Transportation Vans, Blood Mobiles etc. DIMTS has also signed MOU with Automotive Association of India (ARAI) for joint working in technical area related to bus procurement in order to provide end to end procurement advisory services to other states.
