Introduction
Delhi Integrated Multi Modal Transit System Ltd. (DIMTS) is a Joint Venture Company set up with equal equity of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) and Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC).DIMTS is an urban transport and infrastructure services company staffed by a team of professionals in the fields of urban planning, public transport, railway systems, engineering and related fields. Using our significant in-house expertise we provide a gamut of services in the Urban Transport and Infrastructure sector, particularly relating to project conceptualization, execution and management. The company is currently executing a range of projects for a number of prestigious clients.
The company has been set up as a 'special purpose vehicle' to tackle the problem of ineffective public transport delivery and to provide expert services in the field of urban transport.
The roles envisaged for DIMTS are:
- Identify problems and opportunities in the urban transport infrastructure space.
- Provide policy level support for government and government agencies.
- Undertake relevant and necessary studies.
- Undertake measures to promote public transport system by improving the coverage, frequency and comfort level in public transport system.
- Undertake specific project development activities in its capacity as an advisor or as a developer.
- Undertake measures to improve efficiency and affordability of public transport.
