Transit Oriented Development Modelling for Phase 1 of the TOD Policy development, Delhi, INDIA
Transit Oriented Development (TOD) facilitates ease of access to the transit facility and induces the use of public transport and non-motorized transport over private modes of transport. Since, TOD as a planning concept is new to India, Shakti supported a traffic impact assessment study along the Delhi Metro corridor. It aims to develop a modeling tool that will help develop, test and model the impacts of various land use mixes, street network characteristics and urban design parameters, on the travel demand forecast for an area in the TOD influence zone.
